Our father abandoned us after getting remarried

My father is a government school teacher. My mother died recently and he remarried. Me (21 yrs) and my sister (13 yrs) are now with him and our step mother. But he doesn't carry any of our expenses and tortures us physically and mentally. What can I do?

You on behalf of your sister can file a matter seeking maintenance from your father. As you are an adult you might not get the monthly expenses but if your father is bearing no cost, you can file the case immediately before your Jurisdictional Court.

As you are an adult and your sister is minor you can file an application for maintenance of your sister. Also you can intimate the police that your father is torturing you and your sister. As your father is a Government employee, he will think twice before doing anything wrong if you can take actions against him.
