On 30th May 2022 We arranged the marriage of my sister for Some Ceremony she came to her mother's house on 10 June 2022 with her husband after 2 Days her Husband went back to his house for his work but my sister was here only after 3-4 days my sister ran away with her lover nd did court marriage in Rajasthan Bhilwara she steal 25gm gold from her mother's House and 40 thousand case along with her now we had visited the police station and lauch on FIR about this but the local police hasn't taken any action till 48Hrs now her lover has contact the local police nd said she's with him and so now the local police are not helping us with anything nd the police said we can't do anything because she did court marriage but the marriage is valid?? We Did her marriage with 150 People with all Vidhi Vidhan Just think that now they have not registered their marriage yet What can we do now?

Sorry to know about your families situation. If she has performed marriage as per rituals in the presence of so many people then her second marriage is not valid and if void in the eyes of law. Police will not help you in this regards, as it is a family issue more than a criminal case. You may..

if you are having photographers and invitation cards of her marriage then you can sue her and her boyfriend in the family court,because according to Hindu law only one marriage is allowed and her real husband can also file a FIR against her for cheating and fraud.

Well, her Marriage is not legally valid, and her Husband can file a case of Bigamy against her. If proven guilty, your Sister may face Jail punishment of upto 10 years in the prison. But, question is, Do you want to take such an extreme step against your Sister?
