You need to attach this certificated along with the government gazette to substantiate. Otherwise you can also file a case before the High Court for name change in educational certificates. Connect if you have any doubts

A change of name by itself does not ordinarily prevent registration of marriage, provided you can establish that both the old name and the present name relate to the same person. Along with your birth certificate and school records bearing the old name, produce documents evidencing the name change, such as the Gazette notification, affidavit of name change, and updated government identity documents. The Marriage Registrar may verify the supporting records before processing the application. Ensure that all relevant documents are carried at the time of registration to avoid delays.

Please check with the Marriage Registrar's office whether they will accept an affidavit executed by you stating all the relevant facts about your name as in birth certificate, school records and in the government IDs. Usually, they do.

Yes, your marriage registration may still be approved if you can establish that both names belong to the same person. Since your Government ID reflects the updated name but your birth and educational certificates contain the old name, you may be required to produce a Gazette Notification, name change affidavit, or other supporting documents, depending on the State's rules. In matters relating to marriage registration, name change, Hindu marriage, identity proof, and legal documents, proper documentation is essential. Please verify the requirements with the Marriage Registrar before applying.
