My wife left house 3 month back and not ready to come back to my house and threatened to give divorce. Her demand is that - she's not ready to stay with my father and asking me to take rented house. I don't know what to do. My father is old person and my mother expired already 10years back. How I can leave my father for my wife who left me with in year of marriage.

it is not so easy to get DIVORCE, you better file a petition for restitution of conjugal rights in court asking her to join and when she appears in court there is a possibility of settlement and if not settled you can proceed with the petition as per law.

Dear Sir, The settled law is that it is bounden duty of the wife to reside in Matrimonial house and to serve her father-in-law. Your wife cannot demand for separate residence. Thus you can get issue a legal notice under Section 9 of Hindu Marriage Act.
