You can hold the meeting with your family members and try to resolve the same to avoid any litigation. If your mother in law still continues to do so then you can file for protection under domestic violence for cruelty and mental torture and seek for relief.

You have attained the age of majority, you are free to take your own decision. You may lodge complaint against your mother if she is really torturing you without any good reason. If police refuse to receive your complaint or issue NCR (as it is family matter) you may engage a private advocate to file Private Complaint directly in the Court of jurisdictional Magistrate. You may also file civil suit restraining your mother for alienating the family properties, If you have any legal share in it. You may go out of company of your mother and reside separately if your are financially independent. If your mother is senior citizen she has every right to claim monthly maintenance from you under the provisions of Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.
