Married to cousin in temple now denying to marriage what can I do

02-Jul-2023 (In Family Law)
my cousin married me in temple and lived with me for 2 years and then deleted all our marriage photos without my intention and now lying that he didn't marry and on top of it send me a lawyer notice stating that I had relationship with so many people and harassing him for money which is 200% false. Only one proof I have is he took me to honeymoon and those flight tickets, wedding cake, honeymoon package details booked on his name and flight tickets on both of our names are there. Is there any way that I prove that he married me? how should I proceed further.please help me, he ruined my life.

Hi
Thanks for the mail and query.
You dont have to worry about it as he is trying to confuse you by sending a lawyers notice etc. The proof of travelling is sufficient to nail him you need to give a smart reply to his notice and then take proper steps accordingly.

1. In the instant ,You can marry in temple but it is required to register the same , failure to register , you need marriage photos, three witnesses, pundit affidavit ,Temple Marriage Receipts, Any proof of marriage solemnization.

Please provide some clear information on what you want to do. Information is required with regard to children if any.
There are two options:

If you want to continue your marital life you can file restitution of conjugal rights petition before family
court under section 9 of the HINDU MARRIAGE ACT.

IF YOU WANT TO PUNISH HIM

You can file cases under various sections of DVC and CR.P.C.
You can also claim maintenance from him if you are unemployed under section 125 of CR.P.C.
With regard to evidence part
1) Marriage registration with temple or temple receipt or priest of the temple will give you a receipt of puja
required to establish marriage.
2) From your query you said that you lived 2 years together in such a case evidence from your neighbours
also establishes your marriage.
3) Contents of the lawyer notice you received and any proofs along with the notice.
