Marriage registration during covid

09-Jun-2023 (In Family Law)
I’m married in march 2020 just before covid pandemic. So I couldn’t register the marriage. After 6 months my husband and in-laws were harassing for dowry and denied to register the marriage and sent me to my parents home . I file case under conjugal rights. Now he opposes stating we are not married and we’re in live-in relationship. What should I do now

Anyhow, you must have any other evidences such as Marriage photos, wedding invitation, witnesses(relatives & friends), receipt of Marriage from the venue (Mahal/mandapam/temple/church), rental agreement or any other document which can substantially prove that you both cohabitation together as husband and wife, any other supporting documents can be added as evidences to prove your marriage.

In such a scenario as yours the court will not insist on marriage certificate. Other evidence such as marriage photos and other related documents are enough to prove the marriage between you and your husband.
