Marriage Certificate marrriage with usa citizen

My question is how can I legally register my marriage with a US citizen ? As per my knowledge there are two laws :-
A) Special marriage act which takes approx 40 days (two visits of husband-wife). Is there any possibility of getting court marriage certificate in a week or in one visit of the US citizen?
B) Punjab Special marriage act :- The marriage is registered after a religious marriage. Is it correct that this registration is not valid for visa purposes ? Or will it be accepted by the US Embassy?
Kindly correct me where I am wrong.
Suggest me a way.

register it under special marriage act....
there is as such no Punjab special marriage act...
in Punjab marriage is registered under HMA, Anand marriage act, special marriage act..
in court marriage, it take around 30-45 days

You are mostly correct. To register the marriage in india it is necessary to have the batchelor certificate or divorce order as the case may be with the individual who is the resident of us. In india the best way to regiser marriage is under the marriage registration act whereby you have to marry according to your rituals and rites and thereafter get the certificate from the mandir gurudwara or as the case may be thereafter you can file for marriage registeration certificate it will take two days and such certificate will be valid all over world
