Me and my boyfriend are indian citizens living together in USA. He promised a marriage and started living with me and now he returned to india to talk to his family about marriage and stopped communicating with me. We never lived together in india. Is there any legal action that i can take against him?
yes definitely you can take action against your boyfriend as you have a relation, it is not necessary where the relation is maintained either in India or US you can file a complainant against your boyfriend

there is now law tying you together, the Indian law does not provided any legal status of such type of relationships. Try to talk with his parents through some elder people in your family or community or else. according to me you can only legal action against him by false charges
