The SC set aside a HC ruling that held any marriage solemnised by a party during pendency of appeal wherein the operation of the decree of divorce was stayed would be in contravention of Section 5 (1) of the act.

SC passed the order on an appeal filed by a man challenging HC verdict which had declared his second marriage void on a plea of his 2nd wife.

As per the provisions of The Divorce Act the law which is applicable to the Christians you have to first take decree and judgment of court and then only you bot can reside together also he should also have to take same order against his wife. One option is that if both of your previous partners have no problem then you both can live together but again it is void relationship unless you both get courts order.
