Your question seems incomplete. But under the circumstances described by you it seems that since an FIR has been registered, your case must now be pending inquiry by police. You may have been having mediation sessions in the Women's cell possibly. You must decide under the circumstances that you are completely ready to get a divorce apart from pursuing the criminal case against them. You must ensure that with the help of the police you can recover all the dowry articles and other articles and get compensation from them along with ensuring that they are convicted and duly sentenced for their wrongdoings. If you think the police is not taking adequate steps then you could approach the Court and ask for specific directions.

Your sister has already taken the right action by filing the FIR. Now let the law take its own course. During this time collect maximum proofs of harassment by them and the amount paid by you people. These proofs will be required for right follow up of the action initiated by your sister.

Sir now that the FIR has been registered the matter will be persuad in the court.. It is a criminal trial .. And ur sister husband and his parents will have to take bail from the court.. Further more if you want we can also file a suit for maintenance in which your sister can claim her monthly expenses from her husband
