Issues Of Adoption Of A Orphan Child Being Single Parent

I am missing my kid who is with my wife due to separation and false cases on me and god knows how.many years will it go on .I want to adopt a orphan and give a new life by taking care of all stuff required as a single parent (we were disucced while we were together anyway ) is it really allowed in India .Any legal hurdles will arise because of it in future ?
Firstly since your marriage is not dissolved as of as on date you need to take the consent of your wife for adopting a child. Secondly the adopted child should be of the opposite sex of your biological child. finally you need to take the permission from the court for adoption of the child.
