Is it required to change religion for court marriage
21-Jan-2023 (In Family Law)
If a non muslim girl and a muslim guy getting registered marriage done along with both the families, is it required to change religion and give a affidavit to court before getting married? And if yes why?
if both the parties family agrees to the marriage of a non Muslim girl and a Muslim boy then they have choices number 1 register their marriage under Indian special marriage Act 1954 o r number 2 under Muslim Sharia law where a Muslim boy have to marry a Muslim girl and this non Muslim girl has to convert her religion into Islam . And for that she has to make an affidavit and visit a mosques to read in front of Maulana the Kalma . in the eye of Islam marriage between a Muslim boy and a non Muslim girl is not a valid marriage according to Muslim law . No religion accepts different religion persons to get marry and their marriage is not valid according their personal law only Indian special Marriage Act 1954 allow different caste different religion to marry and the marriage is valid .
No change of relationship is a personal choice but not mandatory, you can easily get married under special marriage act and lead a happy life, if your husband and his family forces you to change, then its injustice towards you. Love is about understanding and not enforcing.
