There is no mandatory for alimony if both the parties are settle down at outside the court and then approach the Hon'ble Family Court for Divorce by the way of mutual consent. So there is no mandatory provision to give the alimony to the spouse while you are approaching the court for divorce by the way of mutual consent.

Dear, In Mutual Consent Divorce (MCD) cases, it is up to the couple to decide and settle the terms of alimony and incorporate the same in their joint petition. The court neither decides the quantum nor mode of alimony to be paid to the wife. However, morally speaking, if the wife is not in a position to maintain herself after the divorce, it becomes the responsibility of the husband to provide the wife with some alimony so that she can live happily after the divorce.
