I'm 19 year old i belong to a family of orthodox.. ( Mardwadi caste) nFew days back i was physically harrassed by my brother he beaten me up without any reason..He assumes i have bf and my family never allows me to talk to a guy as i am marwadi cultured . I have always spoken truth to my parents but they never truste me ..My brother slapped 5-6 times in a locked room and windows closed .. I yelled but no one responded.. nAnd no one supports me even if i am right .. They are trying to free me from studies though i have to study more ..I have high aims . At this age they are forcing me to do marriage ( that to in Village) where people are too narrow minded.. I want to become independent girl .. i just want to leave my parents and live peacefully by earning for myself .But i have fear , if i leave my parents they will caught me and again they will force me for marriage and again that mental harrassement .What can i do legally? And how would i handle this

Well, you have to be Self Independent. You better start earning and take a separate Home. Make sure, you make at least a BF in life and do Love Marriage. Don't cut off your relationship with your Parents. However, when you start earning, their thinking will automatically change towards you.

You can register an NC in your local police station about the harassment that is happening with you. you can explain to them everything that is going on with you. they will register an NC against your brother and concerned persons Further query kindly contact me

Dear Queriest if you want to live separately you need to take steps accordingly, if you are mentally and physically prepared you can leave your house and stay independently, there is no need to inform anyone in your house since you have attended your age of majority. for more information about the same kindly call me
