If a widow marries a second person, can her children get property

15-Jul-2023 (In Family Law)
My cousin's husband expired 2 years back, she is having 2 children. Her husband purchased a property in joint family. Now my cousin's in- laws are putting a condition that she should not go for second marriage, if so they will not share the property to children. If she doesn't marry then they will share the property after minority of children. Please clarify me that if she gets second marriage her children will loose rights on property? they have to wait till they become majors? Thank You

Hi as the property is purchased by the deceased husband in joint family, hence the children will have rights over the property and the in laws cannot deny the rights to children over property if your cousin marries other person against the family members wish. Let me know if you need help from me on this further.
