I want to stay separated from my wife

Hi, I want to get separated from my wife but not divorce. She is forcing me to take divorce so that she can demand more. I will give her maintenance but I want to stay away from her. She is mentally harassing me almost everyday. Let me know if this is possible and you can help me out. I am from Pune.

U can stay separate without going for Divorce under Hindu Marraige Act under Section 10 that is called JUDICIAL SEPERATION
Under Judicial Separation u are under the status of marraige but allowed to stay separate under certain grounds

You can move separate. Max what she can do that she can file maintenance against you and can file criminal complaint under the provisions of Domestic Violence Act. And if court pass order you have to pay maintenance per month.

if you are ready to give her maintainence then in that case, it is better you get divorce by mutual consent. Regarding your anxiety about she may demand more, you can mutually decide the terms and conditions including one time settlement while getting divorce by mutual consent.
