I have been married for 19 years and a few years back my husband cheated me by trapping me in serious debts. He misused my blank signed cheques to borrow money. Now i am being targetted. My husband doesn't want me to stay in the house. The property belonged to my father in law but was given by way of gift deed to my husband 2 yrs ago. This property too was taken by an exhorbitant interest financier by cheating but we r still in the house. I don't want to leave this house as i have nowhere to go though I am earning. Can I file for right to residence?? All my jewels and savings have been taken by my inlaws

Dear client don't panic according to your statement you lost everything by your husband and in laws in unlawful acts. you have the full rights to stay and live in the house as you mentioned. you can file the petition before the honorable court and seek remedy. the spam of life is very long. during this you have suffered a lot. right of residence will occur only by way of filing partition suit after separation from your husband. it was already advised to that effect
