I am m19 and my girlfriend is 20. My girlfriend's father has been threatening me with a police case if i talk to her and abusing her in light of our relationship, fed up of the abuse she's moving out independently but her father will chase her down and bring her back forcefully with the help of her uncle, so what can she do legally to move out unharmed and what are my legal options if i catch a case or on what grounds can I sue him. Bailing out is not an option and i am a Muslim she's an Hindu.

Since both of you have attained the age of majority then you both have got all rights to take decisions and choose your own lifestyle. You can always serve him a legal notice warning him to stop all these harassments. You should also write an intimation letter to the police station according to your jurisdiction explaining to them about all the things just in case her father tries to involve you in some illegal activities. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

Hi there Before thinking to file a case against her father on your own, you must safeguard yourself from frivolous litigations and FIRs that might be coming against you and for that you must prepare yourself and perform some prerequisites so that you don't fall into the legal complications. As far as your girlfriend is concerned as long as she is in your favour you are having an upper hand and in order to maintain that you need to make a plan and act accordingly as you will be needing some documentation of your own before you chase her father for harassing you and her. It is not possible to write everything here on chat box. You may consult me if you need efficacious legal remedy. Good luck!

There are several ways out of this situation. You need to have a consultation and discuss the matter on call or in person sharing all the relevant information. From which state do you belong? What is the current situation of the matter? Please share the details of the matter. Thanks.
