Husband wants to file a complaint on fake allegation case

If wife says that husband has assaulted her physically in a phone conversation while talking to her husband, is it possible to file a defamation case based on that ground or send a notice to her for making fake allegation in a phone conversation?

sir please see the definition of defamation, firstly she should make some statement by words of mouth or by any other means of communication which will lower your image in public, if she has only spoken to you if does not amount to defamation. so you cannot file a defamation case for talking by wife to get husband on phone, if she has stated something to other persons and your image in their eyes is lowered then you can file a case of defamation.

you can send legal notice to her and if you have a proof for made fake allegations and if she files s case on the basis you can file case against her and she has to medical certificate for a assult no one simply go and file assult case
