My sister's husband loan on joint property without her consent. He also took loan on high interest from private lenders. He has lost all money in stock market. He is now threatening to commit suicide if she share this information with his parents. My sister is a government employee. She wants to know how to protect herself and her daughters from any legal complications or debt taken by her husband without her consent. The answer of your queries is that your sister has to file divorce case or she has to give a complaint in a police station that her husband take loan from the private money lender without her consent and now giving threats to her so in future if her husband will commit suicide then no responsibility will be on her

You must immediately direct your sister to issue a legal notice to all the lenders including bank if any and inform them that your sister has got nothing to do with the said loan. And also write down an intimation letter to the police station according to your jurisdiction and inform them also regarding your grievances.

if your sister has not given consent for a loan, the bank can claim only on his part of property, not on the portions of the property, if any ownership documents is in the custody of bank ,take from their, if husband is threatening to suicide send a complaint to police officer through speed post or physically
