Husband doesn't come home. Abondoned old age wife and young daughter.

Hindu family. The husband age 59, a govt officer, doesn't come home. He has abandoned his wife and young unmarried daughter. He seems to have an extra marital affair for long. Provides monthly compensation after lot of requests. When wife calls, he abuses. What is the solution for wife in this age as no one to take care of her.? Also how to claim inheritance by wife and daughter?

It is not permissible to desert a legally wedded woman without any sufficient reasons. If he is neglecting to maintain his spouse as well as minor child who is unable to maintain themselves then proceedings of 125 cr.p.may be initiated against him. However you can also file criminal complaint of cruelty and domestic violence against him. If he is a Govt. emplyee then this matter should be informed to his higher official so that departmental may also be initiated against him.
