How to protect ourselves from brother's divorce living separately

I am a hindu 37yr old lady staying with my mother who had been a cancer patient in past. We are staying separately from my brother and his family from past 8 yrs. He lives on my mother's property on 3rd floor as tenant and we live on ground floor. We have no say in each others matters. Of lately my brother is planning to divorce his wife. In this case scenario what should me and my mother do to prevent ourselves from any problem?

You have to do nothing, because he is leaving separate and that is non of your concern. Kindly take a complaint to police or precautionary measure to protect yourself a publisha new in newspapers .....

I don't think it will be a problem for you and your mother. The divorce petition will be filed by your brother. You just have to make sure that your names are not put in as parties and that should keep you away from your brother's divorce case.

Well the problem that you can face is obviously the one that can be created at the behest of the wife of your daughter and to avoid the same you should create a legal sheild for yourself by taking steps

There is nothing to fear about as in divorce case what can be used against you both. But even if you feel that anything can be used then you can write a letter regarding the same to the local police station and make your position clear.
