Girl's ge 27 and Boy is 33 years old, both belong to hindu religion but different castes. Girl belongs to ST category and guy is general category. nGirl's family supporting the marriage but boy's don't. nThey are planning to get married by not inviting groom's family to avoid chaos which is groom's choice. nnHow to prevent them from legally taking any action against the marriage and or accusing that the groom is manipulated. nnCan they harm the girl's family? How should the family seek legal protection before hand? nNote: Both are educated and financially independent. Groom works in the government sector as an officer.

you have fulfilled the legal age of marriage as per Hindu marriage act. Now both you have independent right of marriage and if any of the person, member gave threatenings to you and family then you both shall file protection petition before the sessions court. Court will pass the directions to concerned police and they will protect you.

Hi Sir/ Madam, You can seek protection from police of from court. If both are major, they can legally conclude the ceremony of marriage as per law. For more clarification on each point please feel free to contact. Thanks Adv Dr Preeti
