Family disputes matter .Parents favour my brother.

I am 30 years old female living in joint family.My father and mom always favour my brother monetarily.For educationand other funds.i take care of my own expenses and i stay with my parents.my mother suffer from pychosis i have been taking care of her.but my parents always tell me everything (property)soley belongs to your brother.On this case what are my legal rights.if i have to fight in future..

Supreme Court has held that daughters and sons have equal coparcenary rights in a Hindu undivided family and therefore you, being a daughter have equal right to property as that of your brother. Coparcenary rights are acquired by daughters on their birth...

You holds absolute right in your parent's property as coparcener in joint Hindu property. Previously only male members of family enjoy the said right but now as per Hindu Succession Act even female members of family as equal right as male even after marriage.
