false case filed on me for not agreeing to pay the demanded amount

Marriage was planned & later cancelled by the girl family and now demanding for 5 lakh and denied they have failed a case on as 420 case.

Dear Sir, That has become a new trend to extract money from the family of bride groom. Near engagement does not give a scope to other side to say that you have cheated on failure of marrying her for good grounds. You may approach High Court seeking Quashing of FIR.

Is it possible to share the complaint copy and the fir number. You can use it to defend saying that they are trying to claim amount from trying to blackmail you before that. If there is an fir filed, you need to take a bail.
