In India the legal age to marry for a boy is 21, which you already are, and for girl the legal age to marry is 18 years. Therefore, in your case you will have to wait for another two years for the girl to get 18 years so that you can legally marry her. Hope this helps.

Dear Querist, I have gone through your query. Marrying a 16 year old girl is totally no. Indian laws do not allow such marriages. You have to wait till she turns 18 then you can go ahead with your wedding. But till then you cannot in any way marry.

As per the law of the land, the age of individuals for getting married , for a male is 21 years and for a female it is 18 years which is the minimum age required.
if you attain the age of majority and consent, the girl may choose to marry you according to your religion or you can go for a marriage under the Special Marriage Act 1954.

Hello,
Just to correct you, its Ma'am and not Sir. Proceeding with your query , as per Hindu Marriage Act, you cannot have a valid marriage until your partner has attained the age of majority (21 in case of a boy and 18 in case of a girl). If you marry her against the wishes of her guardians, she being a minor , they have a right to proceed against you legally in many ways than one. So personal suggestion , do not do anything that is unwarranted. Best wishes!
