DISOWNING FATHER IN LAW BECAUSE OF HIS ILL BEHAVIOUR

04-Mar-2023 (In Family Law)
My father in law is into illegal activities , have taken loan from so many people and those are coming at my flat and asking for money. Flat is owned by me and my husband. We want to end all ties with him . Can u please suggest what can be done??? We are mentally stressed because of him. Is there any law where we can legally ask him to move out of our house. Because , he is not going to stop doing all this and we cannot live like this . He is completely insane everyday comes home drinking and abusing. We have just taken the house in March 2020 and because of his behaviour we were thinking of moving out but I don't want to move out of the flat which we have bought from our hard earned money . Please give us the solution what can be done legally. Thanks..!!

Hello! This is really sad. I would suggest that you should warn about your intentions first and see if there's any change in his behaviour and you can also warn him by giving a legal notice to him regarding that. The debtors will come your house that no body can help that, Unless you pay back their money. Your issue is quite of a family matter which I can help with only after hearing the complete facts.

Sorry to know about your situation. You may ask him politely to leave the house, if you are willing then may also provide him alternate residence on rent and if not then give him a legal notice first and then file a complaint before police station.
