delay in obtaining death certificate

one of my friends mother passed away in 2018, he did not apply for death certificate in BMC due to certain family dispute , today when he went to the BMC office he was told that you need to get order from the court for issuance of death certificate , as the limitation period has expired , please suggest what is to be filed in the court for issuance of death certificate of her mother .

True, according to birth and death registration Act the death is to be reported to municipal Corporation within one year else the order had to be procured from the magistrate directing the corporation to take entry of the death and to issue rhe death certificate. You got to file the application before...

Hello Advocate Minakshi Ovhal here you have to make an application for issuance of death certificate before court. court will pass order and direction to BMC to issue death certificate then. BMC will issue Death certificate. thank you
