Once a marriage done and registered both illegally wedded husband and wife for cancellation you have to file divorce petition either mutually or contested. In the Jurisdiction where the marriage done.

A registered marriage cannot simply be cancelled by the Marriage Registrar. The appropriate remedy depends upon the circumstances. If the marriage is void or voidable either a petition for decree of nullity can be filed or you can opt mutual divorce after completion of a year.

you have to file for divorce before the family court. one the divorce is granted then you can seek the de registration of the marriage. since your marriage was solemnized in August 2026 so you have to take prior permission from the court to dissolve the marriage. separate application is filed to seek dissolution of marriage when the application is filed within 1 year of marriage. contact me for more information

Court Marriage is a registered marriage. It cannot simply be cancelled. A mutual or contested divorce petition has to be filed before the Family Court having jurisdiction. If both the parties are agreed then then entire divorce can take 6 months and even earlier in some cases.
