Can I claim my father's property to support my family

I m a graduate, 19 yr old. My father is indulged in extra marital affairs , regularly visits red light areas, since years. He is indulge in domestic quarrels each day, has done physical violence with my mother thrice in a yr. He contributes nothing for household expenditures nor ageeing to pay anything for my higher studies. We have a house in rajasthan and some acres of land in a remote village in U.P both on the names of my father. To go to such red light zones ,he has taken multiple loans on home and lend money from many people .I want claim in his property and financial support for living

Yes you and your mother are legally entitled to claim properties and maintainnace from your father. Your mother is legally wedded wife and your are threir chaid so, you have absolute rights over the properties of your father. U can claim expenses of your higher studies

If it is only about personal support, you can claim maintenance from your father. But if you want a share in such properties then the scenario will be different. For that purpose, you have to file a case for partition. You will get the property only when the property belongs to an ancestral property. If it is a self acquired property, you cannot claim over it.
Once you file a case for maintenance, and after the decree of the said case, if your father is giving you maintenance as per court order then only his property will be attached. Revert me. All the best.

No rights over the self aquired property of your father, you and your mother can claim only on the grounds that you have maintained the property and make expences in its maintainenance. If property already on mortgage or already pledged. Please also let me know that the source of property whether this is ancestral or selfaquired
