Can i claim amount given for marriage expense without divorce

Hi. I got married in 2012 Nov. Within 3 months marriage broken and we staying separate and no contact between me and my husband. Shall I claim my money given to marriage expense(through NEFT amount transfered to them) And they have not payed any mataince till now . Shall I calim compensation also for this 4yrs wasting my time without going for divorce???? And apply for mataince for future ? Currently I m not working preparing for competitive exams.

You can reclaim the amount as you are having proof of transferring the funds to your in laws or husband`s account. getting maintenance for living apart is another matter and should be file separately. You should not say that the amount you transferred are for expenses of marriage because you cannot reclaim what is spent. For claiming maintenance you should be living apart not for your fault. Filing for divorce is not necessary.
