Bhabhi Issued notice On devar For DAD'S Property

After My elder brother died 1 year ago, my bhabhi took some money from my dad, now she is asking for more and issued notices on me , my dad, and other two brothers also. Just want to know how she can issue notice on us (Brother in law) and how should we reply to that notice.

Since your brother has predeceased your father, legal heirs of your brother shall have interest in the ancestral property directly. However since your father is still living she cannot claim rights in the self acquired property of your father and your father has the right to dispose of as per his wish. It is advisable to approach your local advocate and reply the notice. regards Regards
