I have married with registering us by law without intimating our guardians. And now we are going to disclose our relation to our guardians. What r the steps we should legally adopt to protect ourselves before disclosing our status. Kindly advice.

It is advisable that you do write a letter to your local police station as well as hers intimating of the fact that you are above the age of 18/21 years and that you have had registered marriage and both of you have consent for such marriage. Sent it by speedpost. In such way any unprecedented circumstances can be prevented.

As long as your marriage is registered and you have 2 sets of marriage certificate, until you both husband and wife decide to part ways by way of divorce and both of have attainted age of adult no one can stop you both from being husband and wife.

You have to gain little courage to communicate. You can take help of your friends or family friend or any close relative to communicate the matter to your guardian and then face the situation. No one can restrain you. If try to restrain then take the shelter of Law.
