Affair with a married man, and he is not marrying me now

Hi, I am in affair with a married man from past 7 years. Now he tells me that you move on as lawyer says that it is contested divorce and can be dragged long. It is very difficult for me to move on now as everyone know about our affair at his n my family and also friends. In these 7 years I have gone through so many phases of life so it is more difficult to move on. How it is very easy for him to say to move on as he was the one who made promises to marry and so many things. Please advise how I can take this further. We are Hindu. Is thr any grounds on which he can take divorce and how much time it will take.
The only way by which eh can obtain a speedy divorce is by filing a mutual consent petition for the same along with his wife. But if his wife does not want a divorce it will not be quick. You have not told whether she agrees.

strictly speaking your relation with married parson is legal. u have not disclosed u r married or not. unless he granted from his first wife , he can not marry u. affair with with married is person and getting children from him is illegal. u have no legal position as a wife in eye of law.

What is contested divorce and what will take long ? First of all it is your mistake to keep affair with married man even knowing that he is married and you have spoiled one family. Its been 7 years and quite a long time to learn a lesson, when a person himself is telling your to move on then why you want to continue against to his wish. Get married someone and be happy. Yes if the man will go to take divorce before the court and when it is contested from both the side then definitely it will take long time it may be 10 to 12 years.
