Advice regarding mental harassment from father

My father drinks alcohol at an insane rate. He did domestic violence as well. Though he gives us money for household every month which is sufficient to survive, the problem is of mental harassment which he does to us. I, my mother and my sister can't live with him anymore. We want to seek some advice regarding if we can file a complaint against him which will allow us to stay away from him and can get the money for our expenses. What proofs do we require to prove it, what will be our protection and where to file the complaint? He has already once paid a police officer some amount to dissolve the matter after abusing my mother. Please help.

hello, I went through your query. after going through your query, I would advice you to get a complaint lodged in the caw cell. the complaint should be a crisp and precise. it would be better if you get it prepared by an Advocate. And their after you can file a application u/s 12 domestic violence act in the court of your jurisdiction. for any legal help and guidance you can contact me.

in such case, you are advised to immediately file a case of domestic violence. the scheme of the law is such that it will provide you immediate protection from domestic violence that is being committed by your father. after the protection is granted you may then proceed to file criminal complaints, if so advised, against your father

Hi, You have an option to file a complaint under section 12 of the Domestic Violence Act, 2005 and seek maintenance and lumpsum compensation since the acts enunciated by you tantamount to cruelty and domestic violence
