Physical and mental torture by husband

I got married 3years back,i have a 8month old baby now.my hisband anď family always insults me and psychologically tortures me for dowry and my husband insults my father also.it started after one month of our marriage but i tried to save my marriage .ow i want seperation.me and my husband are earning equally but now i m on childcare leave for 2yrs.my husband keeps an eye on my earnings as well.
Whenever we have an argunent he hits me n use bad words like slangs which hurts me physically as well as psychologically.plz guide me what to do for divorce and custody of my child and maintainance for me n my child
