Husband's mental torture has driven us apart. he wont listen to me to

I am a woman in my early 30s. I was married since 2015 and now have a kid of two years old. I am from West Bengal and ever since my marriage my husband and MIL and his other family members started torturing me mentally. My husband is a bit mental. He treats me well when he is in a happy state of mind but treats very badly when he is angry. He doesnt have attachment towards his kid even. He is only attached to his mother and some of his family members and their household runs with my husbands salary. What should I do? I am devastated. Should I go for separation? I am working in IT industry. he can go for months without seeing me or my kid after a fight. His mother wants to keep him separated from me and my kid. What should I do?
