Courts shutdown due to corona virus

Are Delhi courts completely shut down during the 21-day lockdown for coronavirus? Can I file my divorce case at this time or wait till situation improves?

No you can not file your case in the Registry of the court, however the first date to get it registered, hear and admit this divorce case against the husband will be give by court roaster only after the ban will be over. Now a days courts are closed for these king of cases.

Yes they are completely shut down. Initially they were taking up urgent matters such as bail, injunction but after the lockdown they have completely shut down and courts are working at minimum capacity by video conferencing only if required. You have to wait for the situation to improve.

hello, the courts are shutdown for 21 days. only matters relating to bail and stay would be entertained by the courts. rest of all the cases would be entertained only once the courts are re-opened. you can consult the lawyer for the paper work so that once the courts have resumed your petition can be filed
