Can we buy BDA Site if the original allotment letter is lost or misplace

Buying a BDA site without the original allotment letter may be risky as it is an important document that proves the ownership and possession of the site by the original allottee. However, if the seller has other documents to establish his title and identity, such as possession letter, sale deed, khata, tax receipts, etc., you may consider buying the site after verifying them thoroughly. You may also ask the seller to obtain a duplicate allotment letter from the BDA by filing an application along with a police complaint and an affidavit stating the loss of the original letter. You may also consult a lawyer to check the legal validity of the documents and advise you on the risks involved by clicking on the link below.
