Dear Client, A person cannot hold or posses two caste certificate from two different states to enjoy the benefits of reservation. it's impermissible under the relevant laws. He has to surrender one to enjoy the benefits of another state. Caste is determined by birth and a child gets the caste of his father. So, in case you have a birth certificate from West Bengal, then you can apply for a caste certificate from the concerned authorities of West Bengal attaching an affidavit explaining the reason behind your application for caste certificate from West Bengal, but it solely depends upon the decision of State Level Caste Scrutiny Committee. For more information you may contact or visit the office of the said committee.
