if you are married from 1.5 years then you need a coy of id for both the spouse, a self declared affidavit of voluntary marriage of both of you, copy or original marriage invitation card, photo with `Varmala`, of both the aplicants. now your marriage will be registered in the registrar`s office and dont forget to bring two witnesses from both the sides.

You need to approach the sub-divisional magistrate office of your locality with the Application Form available online. Alongwith the duly signed form by both the Husband and wife you need to carry the following documents:
1. Documentary Evidence of date of birth of both the parties showing that the age of both the parties at the time of registration is more than the required age as per law.
2. Ration Card
3. Affidavit of both the parties stating place and date of marriage, date of birth, marital status at the time of marriage and nationality.
4. Photos of both the parties and marriage photograph.
5. Marriage invitation card, if available.
6. Affirmation that the parties are not related to each other within the prohibited degree of relationship as per Hindu Marriage Act or Special Marriage Act as the case may be.

Verification of all the documents is carried out on the date of application and a day is fixed and communicated to the parties for registration. On the said day, both parties, alongwith a Gazetted Officer who attended their marriage, need to be present before the SDM. The Certificate is issued on the same day.
