Procedure for surname change on CBSE 10th marksheet

My son has a different surnames on his cbse 10th marksheet and passport. He is now in 12th. How do I correct the surnamed on cbse 10th marksheet ?
You need to get an affidavit stating that you have changed the name then an newspaper advertisement for the same and the get it published in the official government gazette .

there is procedure for name change affidavit, cd,paper work, advertisement in paper other procedure has to be done and name has to be taken out on gazzate its a month long procedure u can contact me for surname change

Rule 69.1 (ii) of CBSE rule-
Application for correction in name/surname will be considered only within two years of the date of declaration of result provided the application
of the candidate is forwarded with the following documents:
(a) Admission form(s) filled in by the parents at the time of admission
(b) The School Leaving Certificate of the previous school submitted by the parents of the candidate at the time of admission.
(c) Portion of the page of admission and withdrawal register of the school where the entry has been made in respect of the candidate.
