Procedure for name change in Bangalore

Dear sir/ Madam, This is to inform you that one of my friend have decided to change his name , i would like to know the procedure for the same . He has got married but he doesn't have marriage certificate . Kindly let us know the documents required to change the name . We need to get an approval from the court for changing the name ? How to apply for the same . Waiting for your replay .

Your friend has to swear affidavit before Notary and get it published in two news papers. Then send original affidavit and paper publication to the Central gazetteer. write concerned authorities by sending copy of gazzetteer....
