Marriage Registration through Court Marriage
11-Dec-2023 (In Documentation Law)
What is the procedure of registering marriage through court marriage in Delhi as per Hindu Marriage Act.
We do not want to have a marriage in Mandir but just do a court marriage with required witnesses and parents.
Also, the male doesn't reside in the country and will be visiting for 1 month. Will that be a problem?
You can file a notice of the intended marriage before the marriage officer alongwith the documents The notice will be pasted on the notice board of the district marriage officer for receiving objections if any. In case after 30 days no objections are received the marriage officer will solemnised the marriage and issue the certificate. The entire process will take 45 days.
