Legal remedy if name different in SSLC and transfer certificate

Now iam studying BCA by Barathiyar University -CPP(centre for participatary program) in parallel college . My father's name different in SSLC certificate and Transfer Certificate. i want to is there any problem ? how to change this ?
The first question is how this has happened? Probably, wrong information would have been furnished to the college/educational institute which had issued the Transfer Certificate. Anyhow, this does not matter at this stage.

It is better to approach the concerned High school from where you completed the SSLC. They can clearly help you.. firstly you have to apply for correction in the school certificate before the school principal and then in the Kerala State Education dept...
