In the state of West Bengal , The West Bengal Prize Competition and Gambling Act, 1957 prohibits all forms of betting and gambling excepts skilled based card games like poker and others. You have to be cautious while introducing this venture, you have to take the permission from the Police commissioner of Kolkata or from the District Magistrate of the concerned district.
You have to take 'amusement' or 'entertainment' license from the concerned authority under the West Bengal Amusement Act.

To open a live poker card room in West Bengal one would need:- Permission from the Police Commissioner of Kolkata or the District Magistrate of the concerned district under Section 12 of The West Bengal Prize Competition and Gambling Act, 1957.‘Entertainment’ or ‘amusement’ license from the home department as per the Bengal Amusements Act, 1922.The poker card room has to have four more recreational activities in the premises that holds these poker card games.Inform the local police station and submit the permissions.
