Is there fine for later birth registration
19-Jun-2023 (In Documentation Law)
Is there Fine for later birth registration? say someone at age 50 require birth certificate and he/she follow all the process to get court order but with all that Does the person has to to pay any amount in court as fine for late birth registration for so many years???
In this matter you have to obtain court order, and need to mention cause for delay , nominal court fees you need to pay as per procedure but, once court satisfied with your submission , send notice to birth registration department of particular ward and ask to submit their say and then pass an order to issue a certificate
Dear Querist, Compulsory registration of Birth and Death has recently started. before that it was not compulsory. Looking at the age of 50 years, certainly at that relevant point of time it was not at all mandatory. and if he does today there should not be any fine.

No! No fine is getting imposed by Court for delayed birth registration.
If court observe the approached person's case and claim is genuine, then just order of direction to Registrar (BMC) to register the Birth of said person will get pass and said person will have to approach to Registrar(BMC) along with Court Order and will have to pay requisite nominal amount and Birth Certificate of said person will be in his/her hand.
Keep in mind if old person approaches in Court for Birth Certificate, have to mention the reason for which it requires and have to give proper evidence of birth, either it be of hospital or at house.
