how to proceed for visa application

14-Aug-2023 (In Documentation Law)
I had applied for one of the universities in Russia through an educational consultancy named 'AK Educational Consultants' who are based in Pune and Sangli, Maharashtra. Had paid Rs. 15000/- as Registration Fees and submitted the following original documents - passport, 12th marksheet and 12th passing certificate. However, after a few days I decided to take admission elsewhere and submitted to them a cancellation letter as they told me to. I asked them for the documents back but they keep giving me reasons that the documents are with the embassy for visa process and it will take time but it's just not possible because for a visa application, you need medical reports and photos which I haven't submitted to them yet. How do I proceed? It's been a week after I've sent them the cancellation letter.

Do you have any acknowledgement for submission of documents? If the agent is not giving the passport, you contact directly to the Russian embassy and check whether they have received your passport? And if you don't receive any reply then you can lodge complaint with Police Station. For taking all this step you should make a proper strategy. So consult a good criminal lawyer for the same. We too deal in criminal laws, in case if you need my services, you can call me and take my prior appointment and visit my office. I am based in Mumbai.

Good Afternoon. You can take couple of actions against them. Like first file a police complaint and let this be on record. Then go through the terms & conditions of the brochure/receipt they gave you. if the no of days in which they would return your documents is mentioned and if they have surpassed that or if you have any emails from them promising you a deadline then on the basis of that you can file a consumer case against them.

Hi,

You can send a legal notice to the senior inspector of police and other local authority for return of original documents and also can file a case of cheating and extortion as they are avoiding to give you original papers and deliberately delaying as to bend you on their illegal demands.
