How to change sub caste when christian?

1.Actually I am from Tamil nadu my caste is BC but my subcaste is ADI Dravidian religion is Christian. 2.I came to know our great grandfather is from some other sub caste ( thevar) 3.But from my grandfather our subcaste changed to ADI Dravidian. 4.so only I am asking is there any possibility to get my great grandfather certificate and depending upon that can I change my subcaste

Thevar is not a caste.if he studied,in transfer certificate,you can get it.both your father and your present caste differ lot.a marriage invitation anything you can get to prove caste of your grandfather.you can also ask your relatives caste certificate for your claim

A person's caste will be based on the caste of his/her father, so no matter what is your grandfather caste, you will have the caste of your father. So, you can't change your caste for sure

As for my knowledge, it is not possible. Because your caste will be decided on the basis of your father's caste. Your great grand father's caste will not be considered in this case. Hindu adi dravidas are brought under SC category and Christian adi dravidas are brought under BC category.
